What If Sasuke Stayed Evil?

Sasuke and his leaving the village to seek revenge served as one of the base motivations for the entirety of Shippuden’s non-filler story arc, or what we in the biz like to call “The canon storyline”. In the story, Sasuke’s lust for revenge led him to search for his brother and fight him to the death. But just when we thought everything was peachy and fine for Sasuke to finally return to the village, Sasuke was hit with the revelation that… maybe Itachi did nothing wrong. Maybe Konoha strong-armed him into doing something he didn’t want to do. And this led to a NEW revenge arc against Konoha itself. Sasuke, having had the truth revealed to him, gave into the need for revenge, and set course to destroy Konoha. But this was slowed down heavily when Sasuke met with Itachi again, all because Naruto carried a sleeper Kotoamatsukami with him that freed Itachi. But what if that hadn’t happened? What if Itachi was never free? And even if he did tell Sasuke the truth about his decision, what if Sasuke simply discarded it? Well, let’s get into it and see what could have happened if Sasuke decided to stay evil.
