The stress level is high as we finally receive the custom granite countertops and anxiously figure out how four guys can lift and tilt a solid 1,000 pound slab onto the kitchen island without destroying it, the cabinets or the newly installed floors. Granite countertops are pretty fragile if unsupported horizontally so they are easily damaged if not handled carefully during installation.
