Gonçalo emphasizes the importance of:
- Having a clear, consistent vision with clear business goals from the executive to the team level, turning these goals into product goals, and then controlling and monitoring the progress on these goals;

- Finding the balance between using performance metrics and reducing the complexity within your team to ensure high efficiency;

- Treating your team as a product and “taking a long-view on people”: Investing great efforts in your team’s well-being, by making them feel valued as individuals is crucial to having strong, engaged, efficient teams in the long-run.
