This is the story of 70s rock classic 'The Immigrant Song' by Led Zeppelin - written by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant as a sort of joke, tongue in cheek. Let's examine how the song was written, the humour involved in its creation and how the song prophesised the band's journey of becoming Rock and Roll GODS!
We also examine the other instance Led Zeppelin employed humour in their work with "D'yer Mak'er" and the creation of Led Zeppelin III, the band's third album, and its conception in Bron-Yr-Aur, Snowdonia, Wales.
