Please note that the drone was positioned opposite of the safety line, on the opposite side of the far (high power) pads. If a rocket were to go completely awry and hit the drone, they would be over the empty dry lake bed. The drone was positioned far enough away so that the chances of a rocket hitting it were almost impossible.
