Alice van Harten, the founding partner of Menlo Coaching, discusses how to select the right recommenders for your MBA application.

The most successful recommenders are people that 1) Know you well and 2) Wish you well. This could be anyone from MBA alumni, the manager of your department, or even clients. However, your recommendation letter should not come from a family member (including distant Uncle Steve). You need someone who can outline how effective you are as a worker and team leader, and that will rate you high in the rankings grid.

In this video, Alice outlines how to select writers for the MBA recommendation letter for top MBA programs.
