*OMG!! The Shashalee Forbes Condition JUST Got WORSE*

It’s always the desire of any athlete to have a seamless athletic season. And this being an Olympic year, no athlete wishes for anything that could interfere with their preparation for the Olympic Games. But for whatever reason, things happen that are beyond the control of these athletes… Injuries and low performance on the track are just some of the misfortune that athletes have to battle with each season.

Last season, Abby Steiner and Aleia Hobbs, some of the best sprint stars in America, battled serious injuries that affected their performance on the track. These are just but a few… And this season guys, it seems the hammer is landing on Jamaica’s sensation Shashalee Forbes. Of late things have not been okay with this Olympic silver medalist. The 27-year-old kicked off her 2024 season pretty well at the Queen’s-Grace Jackson Track Meet at National Stadium where she posted a personal record of 7.03 seconds over the women’s 60 meters. She proceeded to race at the ISTAF Indoor Dusseldorf meet where she equally triumphed with a time of 7.11 seconds. This was followed by several podium finishes climaxing at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow where Forbes recorded a good performance in the prelims but sadly failed to progress to the finals of the women’s 60 meters after placing fifth in the semis.

However, it was in mid-March when things started falling apart for Shashalee Forbes.
