Notice the safety bar didn’t get added till the 1960s… I have seen a few pictures of a rope closing off the right side but that was all. The ropes were also used on other attractions to “close the door” like for the Mad Tea Party.

The story about the ride vehicle’s misuse comes from Ed Morgan of Arrow Development. He said, “We discovered that these kids were jumping on, and they didn’t know what they were doing, of course. They were derailing all the cars. In the meantime, they wrecked the carriages on some of them.”

The Snow White ride went through a significant renovation when new Fantasyland was created in 1983, with very little remaining from the original attraction because it was crumbling from age and cheap building materials from the 50s. It changed again in 2021 when it became Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, creating an attraction that actually featured Snow White instead of the witch and making it less scary by removing mist of the witch’s jump scares.
