Did you know that our Earth has its own circulatory system? Yes, that’s correct. It's called ‘Ocean Currents’. An ocean current is a continuous movement of sea water in a particular direction caused by forces of wind or Coriolis Effect, temperature, gravity and water density. These currents not only affect our climate, ecosystem and marine life but also where you find your favourite seafood in the ocean. There are two types of Ocean Currents – Warm and Cold. Warm ocean currents originate near the equator and move towards higher latitudes, while cold currents travel the opposite way: from the higher latitudes towards the equator. But how does water move inside water? What are the major ocean currents? How do they affect our climate and ecosystem? Watch this video to learn everything about the ocean currents and how they affect us.
