The Canadian-American Challenge Cup in 1969, marked the fourth season of the Can-Am racing series and consisted of two hour sprint events and FIA Group 7 cars on the grid.  The season was absolutely dominated by McLaren race team, who won all eleven rounds of the Championship and team founder, Bruce McLaren won the overall title over teammate and fellow Kiwi driver, Denny Hulme.

Although it was dominated by one team, the race wins were fairly evenly split, with McLaren winning six races to Hulme's five, giving him the title by a mere five points.  In this classic Castrol film, we head to round nine of the Championship at the Laguna Seca Raceway for what was a thrilling encounter.
