A quick note about the comments section: I've reluctantly had to turn off the comments for now as they've been too overwhelming and have caused me a lot of anxiety. I certainly wasn't prepared for the sheer volume of views and comments this video has generated.

Although the vast majority of the comments have been positive (thank you very much if you left a positive comment, I appreciate it) there are a few that were very aggressive and accused me of misleading people.

I'd like to clarify that I do a lot of research before trying out any of this stuff myself and if you disagree with anything I say in this video, regarding flow temperatures or legionella in particular, can I please direct you to the main source of my information: the @HeatGeek channel. Specifically this recent video where they confirm what I said about about storing your water above 50 deg, and the flow temperatures for the different boiler types:    • 11 Easy Ways To Reduce Your Energy Bi...  .

Heat Geek is a channel run by professional heating engineers of exceptional quality and I trust what they have to say. Feel free to confirm their credentials yourself to verify their trustworthiness.

Right, on with the actual video description.

My wife and I moved into a new house a year ago and our hot water was using 10 kWh of gas per day, which was way more than it should have been.

I did a few experiments and managed to reduce it to 7 kWh per day, which is much more reasonable, and a saving of 30%!

In this video I show you the three things I did to achieve this so that hopefully you can also reduce your gas usage and your gas bills.
