It's an exciting time for Marvel fans across the world despite the current tidings, as Marvel Studios is all geared up for the launch of Phase Four. This lines up very interestingly with Disney's long-speculated acquisition of Fox and the creative control it warrants the Mouse House over some titular Marvel characters. Legal discretion over superheroes from X-Men and The Fantastic Four, however, does not mean that the MCU should rush to rope these heroes into its catalogue. Being helmed by different creative outlets has already lent distinctive tones to the various movie renditions of comic book staples like X-Men and Spiderman. A slew of new characters are ready to top this off by making their big cinematic debut this year, starting off The Eternals. The New Mutants, on the other hand, has finally emerged from its tedious post production lull to be released (as of now) sometime in August 2020. The teenage mutants are interestingly arriving at a time when the Marvel Cinematic Universe prepares for its Renaissance, so everyone's wondering the same thing: will Kevin Feige bring them into the MCU fold and finally unite the X-Men franchise with Marvel's Cinematic spread? Well, as per the optics explained in this particular title, he is maybe off not doing that just yet. From reasons citing disparate tonal and aesthetic leanings to more glaring timelining concerns, this video explores every premise that stems from problems that the New Mutants would bring if they ventured into the MCU.
