The NordicTrack X22i has one of the best inclines when it comes to home treadmills with a range of -6% to 40%. There are incline handles to help you support yourself when tackling this steep grade. NordicTrack limits the speed to less than 12 miles per hour when the treadmill is inclined above 15.5% or declined. This safety feature lets you train on the X22i with more confidence. The 40% incline is challenging enough that you don’t need to go much faster.

The running surface is a spacious 22 inches by 60 inches. The deck is very soft and cushioned. The X22i is a great recovery tool from hard outdoor running as well as a great way for runners and walkers to safely increase their pace or mileage. The deck is also bouncy and feels easier than running outside.

You need an iFIT subscription to use most of the X22i’s features. The 22-inch touchscreen display only shows iFIT content. If you don’t subscribe, you can only see the manual training screen and access one featured iFIT class.

iFIT has thousands of training classes for the treadmill and other iFIT equipment. You can also do their strength and yoga classes. One membership gives you access to all of these features. Additional iFIT features include a Google Maps integration, Feed.FM radio, and automatic speed and incline adjustments.

iFIT treadmill classes transport you around the world as you follow the coaches through workouts filmed on beautiful routes. The coaches give training advice and teach you about the locations you are seeing onscreen. iFIT has challenges and series of treadmill classes to help you progress toward your training goals.
