Recently Joanna returned to our screens in a new drama called ‘Men Up’ on BBC One, documenting the first ever clinical trials for the drug Viagra, which took place in Swansea in 1994. Initially discovered as an accident, the drug transformed the lives of those living with erectile dysfunction, leading to further research, and allowing men to open up about their health concerns. Nadia says she has never understood the fuss around viagra, and questions why research into women’s health is so underfunded despite 1 in 3 women struggling with their reproductive health. Katie however thinks that men’s health is still shamed, and that we should be more respectful when talking about it.
