The Lexus LC 500 isn’t the first the first car which crosses your mind when you think about cars with a naturally aspirated V8. Production numbers are low and in terms of sportiness it is no where near a 911. It does, however, excels in its own area: luxury cruising. Especially now the convertible is added to the 2021 line-up, there are only a few cars which are more suited for cross continental tour. But should you buy one in 2021?

In this video I show you how the LC500 values are developing and if 2021 is the year to purchase one. We start by covering the current market and this already shows something interesting. The are namely some convertibles and some inspiration series which are priced above MSRP. That’s quite unique for a lexus! After this we will have a look at the depreciation numbers. The depreciation per year and per 1000 miles reveal that there is not yet a bottom in the market. The curve start to flatten, but not enough to define the market as one that is bottoming. But is the current depreciate rate high or low? That we will find out by comparing it to some other cars.
