The Subaru Crosstrek, like the Outback, is a brilliant alternative to an SUV. In fact, on most points, it's more SUV than most SUVs being far more capable off-road and just as civilized on-road. The new-for-2024 Wilderness trim is really cool however I think the designers went a little too far...
