Sufiscore is delighted to present this remarkable meeting of Indian and European musicians, featuring vocalist Pratibha Singh Baghel with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra.
This is a Ghazal by Dagh Dehlvi (1831 – 1905), a prominent poet of the 19th century, a period which is regarded as the “Golden” era of Urdu poetry. The poet addresses his beloved and talks about the joys and sorrows of love and how his attachment to her has brought him many enemies. He says he cares nothing for the troubles the world has inflicted on him and that he is more mindful of the many hearts that she, his beloved, has broken.
