During this trip I built a bushcraft shelter in the Dolomites. The logs should turn it into a permanent shelter. Only the moss on the roof and the spruce branches, which serve to protect against wind and rain, need to be replaced from time to time. As the crowning of the final day, I grilled the rib of a beef on an open fire :-) The roof can withstand light rain with ease. It can only be slightly leaky in heavy rain. The seat of the shelter is on a natural 'terrace' in the middle of the forest. There is also a small stream passing by. The ideal place for further overnight stays.
I only use handtools, deadwood and natural materials. No plastic.
