After solving the case of the Dragon King in the Divine Capital, Di Renjie is rewarded by the Emperor with the divine weapon, the Kang Longjian. However, Empress Wu Zetian becomes jealous and plots against Di Renjie to steal the Kang Longjian. She assembles a group of individuals with supernatural abilities, known as the "Strange People Group," and orders Wei Chi Zhenjin to lead them. With the help of the physician Sha Tuo Zhong, Di Renjie successfully escapes from the persecution of the "Strange People Group" and negotiates a settlement with Wei Chi Zhenjin. Meanwhile, the assassin Shui Yue from the "Strange People Group" discovers the presence of an unknown force in the capital. As Di Renjie navigates through Wu Zetian's ambushes, the Tang Dynasty falls into deeper crisis when the "Demon Clan" with their extraordinary powers emerges, leading to an imminent "Demon Slaying" battle.
