Lynchings are horrific, racist acts of violence used as an instrument of terror and oppression.

President Biden has signed the Emmett Till Antilynching Act into law, making lynching a federal hate crime. It is long overdue that we recognize lynching as a stain on our nation’s history and provide justice for victims and their families.
