I talk about BMX bikes a lot. I talk about street, park, dirt, but I haven't talked about flatland bikes yet. The reason for this is that incorporating flatland bikes into my content will complicate my brand and the scoring system. However, someone recently asked me about what to look for in a flatland bike.

So in this video, I will explain what parts you should look for in a flatland bike and why they are important. There are different geometries and parts to consider when getting a flatland bike. For example, a low standover height, a gyro, and a good front brake are important for flatland riding. The geometry of a flatland bike is also very different compared to other types of BMX bikes. I'll be comparing two different bikes and pointing out their differences in geometry and other key features.

It's possible to make a regular bike better for flatland riding by adding zero offset forks and a gyro, but if you can afford it, I would suggest getting a flatland specific bike. The best flatland specific bike is the Colony Apprentice, but it's expensive. If you're a flatland rider, make sure to consider these factors when choosing a flatland bike.
