PG Stølen's «Abused» from the new, soon upcoming album «Come and Sit Here Next to Me» (2024).

Then the day has come for the VERY first musical taste (and video) from my new album (the CD otherwise has a set delivery date of 24 January). The song is called "Abused". Lyrically, it has serious overtones. Abuse is without a doubt one of the simplest and most degrading things one person can commit against another. Several live with the effects of having been exposed to this. The song's "protagonist" and theme point to this «darkness», but also opportunities for processing and "inner" healing. Growing up, we learned the following statement. "The eyes can smile, the mouth can laugh, but no one can see the sadness in the heart." Just as relevant today!! Perhaps some of us suddenly have to be the soul-care/security person who has to stand up for one of our fellow human beings. Let us be vigilant and ready. And the reward is as follows: No one in this world is a failure if he lightens the burdens of another.
