In this video, Ben Collins, the former Stig is back! This time, he's in the new, Bowler Defender Challenge. But who are Bowler? They are the company behind production of off road competition cars in the UK since 1985, achieving international wins at the Dakar rally! The company was so well known with Land Rover vehicles, that Jaguar Land Rover acquired the company in 2019, making it a part of the Special Vehicle Operations segment of the company.

At a secret location with Land Rover, together with an introduction from fellow TV presenter, Charley Boorman, the former Stig had the chance to test out the Defender 90 based rally raid car. Bowler have fitted stiffer suspension and have raised the ride height by approximately 30mm. The 2.0L, 300HP engine is standard from the original Defender, which is a testament to the original car.

The car has been built for a single make series, where 12 driver's compete in the rally raid to get the fastest time, giving them to opportunity to get into rallying. The Bowler Defender Challenge series has 12 races across the UK, allowing drivers to develop their skills across different terrains, a very different series compared to Paul's Caterham Academy series!

What an amazing car, that is a real testament to the original Defender 90 made by Land Rover and a great way to get introduced into off-roading!
