Here's my look at the streets and neighborhoods of Hakodate, Japan in winter. One dark evening, and then the next day, I walked the icy sidewalks, then rode trams, to see what Hokkaido's third-biggest city is like in the middle of winter. Answer: cold but vibrant. And there's a phenomenally great way to stay warm built right into one of the street corners. Bliss.

🚠 NOTE: I keep saying "cable car" in this video; it should be "ropeway". Oops.
