**This video is for the topic of Infection and Response for GCSE Biology and Combined Science (9-1) - it is written for the AQA specification but overlaps with other exam boards.**
We’ll start with a definition for the term pathogen and then look at the four groups of pathogens.
Then we’ll cover the three methods by which they can spread:
- Direct contact
- Water
- Air, including droplet infection
Next, we’ll compare bacteria and viruses and how each of these make us feel ill.
Finally, we’ll learn about the four methods to reduce the spread of communicable diseases.
