Engine Start & Taxi of this former Italian Army SIAI-Marchetti SM.1019A amphibious floatplane equipped with a 317hp Allison 250-B15G turbine engine. N774DW was built in Italy back in 1977 and served time with the Italian Army as a STOL liaison aircraft.
To meet the Italian Army requirements, the SIAI Marchetti SM.1019 was developed from the Cessna 305A/O-1 Bird Dog with an added turbine engine and a revised tail unit. The prototype first flew on May 24th, 1969 and was powered by a 317 hp (236 kW) Allison 250-B15C turboprop engine.
