Chumash elder Alan “Spirit Hawk” Salazar offers a blessing for the Stagecoach Inn Museum’s departing ancient oak. This episode of the Heritage Oak series was filmed during the final hours that the magnificent centuries-old Coastal Live Oak graced the museum grounds on February 5, 2021.

Visit the Heritage Oak Grove where a young replacement oak has been planted, rustic seating has been created from the tree branches of the original tree, and a timeline project is underway. The grove represents growth and renewal and is the inspiration for our Heritage Oak Double-Match Fundraising Campaign for museum renovations and ground improvements.
