Prior to the virtual 2022 Synthetic Biology Consortium Meeting on December 14th, 2022, NIH hosted a series of breakout sessions focused on specific topics relating to synthetic biology and control theory. This recording is from the breakout hosted on November 30th, 2022 which focused on engineering biology capabilities and bottlenecks. This session’s breakout discussion included using synthetic biology to predict genetic circuit behavior, the design of robust and reproducible engineered biological systems, and the bottlenecks to overcome to engineer cells for therapeutic purposes.
