You’ve probably cut plenty of wood on your CNC, and maybe even non-ferrous metal and plexiglass. But how about leather? Yep, with the addition of a drag knife to your tool arsenal you can cut leather on your CNC.

In this session we’ll look at what a drag knife is, how to create a drag knife toolpath for your project, how to secure leather to the spoilboard of your machine and what parameters are used on the CNC router to make this work. Master a drag knife and you’ll also be able to cut vinyl, cardboard…nearly anything you can cut with a utility knife.
