One of the "The Color Purple's" leading ladies-- Danielle Brooks-- has been a star since the world first fell in love with her as Taystee on Netflix's "Orange is the New Black." Since then, her standing-ovation worthy performances onscreen and onstage have made us love her more. But, her journey to this point did not come easy. In this episode of "The Healed Girl Era Podcast," she talks to Gia about how she navigated the pitfalls of "overnight success," how OITNB led her back to therapy, her relationship with rejection and how God's full circle moments keep her inspired to keep going no matter what.
