More and more men are becoming comfortable with facial plastic surgery to improve their appearance. This is especially true for men whose livelihood rests on the way they look like actor or models. In my practice, I'm seeing more male patients opt for a deep necklift, whereby we sculpt genetically thick necks to give an appearance of a more chiseled jawline. This procedure is often augmented by a chin implant. The deep necklift does what liposuction alone can't. Liposuction can only deal with fat that is located directly under the skin, but because the neck is composed of many layers of tissue, creating significant change requires more significant sculpting.
