I used these two beastly subwoofers in my home theatre setup for around 1 month. I tested the SVS PB16 Ultra alongside the Arendal 1723 2v.

This is my review of both these units with my down-to-earth opinion (1723 2v vs SVS PB 16 Ultra Review).

SVS PB16 Ultra Main Features:

1. 16 inch long throw driver - 1500w RMS power handling
2. Solid MDF cabinet finished in either Black ash or Black Gloss
3. Fiberglass resin composite driver - 89mm driver excursion peak to peak
4. 8 inch voice coil (I think the largest in a consumer-grade sub)
5. Compatible with the SVS smartphone app

Arendal 1723 2v Main Features:

1. Twin 13.8 inch drivers - 1200w RMS power handling - total diameter equates to 21 inch when combined
2. Solid HDF cabinet offered in gloss/matte white/black finishes
3. Paper composite driver (driver excursion data unavailable as far as I know)
4. Intelligent control of amplifier via LCD panel at the back - also compatible with the Arendal smartphone app
