Welcome to our renovation adventure in the Finnish countryside! Here the snow is melting and skies are grey, but our determination is as solid as the floors we're working on. You'll be the judge of how solid that actually is. :D We're on the brink of seeing real results and actual floor boards in this room soon and I can't wait!

Building floors (or flooring?) this way is a multi phase project, but worth it. We're aiming for a healthy, long lasting house and trying to stick with materials that will eventually naturally decompose, when this house reaches the end of it's line.

But just to not completely lose myself in this renovation, at times I have to make room for something else than just hammer and nails. And that's music, my favorite thing in the world. So this month I had the opportunity to dedicate a week for the creative process of crafting tunes out of thin air. And voila, my mental thermos cup is full again!

Taking breaks from this type of monumental renovation is essential for any human. While the house has to be a priority to get it done some day, nothing comes out of an empty, shattered shell of a body.
