Prominent Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong has been sentenced to three months' jail for breaching a court ban after he disclosed personal information about a police officer on Facebook. Wong was front and centre of student-led protests in 2014 and later participated heavily in the 2019 unrest. In 2020, he shared the personal details of a police officer who shot a protester during a scuffle. Wong is currently in remand over another high-profile case, where 47 pro-democracy activists have been charged for conspiracy to commit subversion under the Beijing-imposed national security law.
