Welcome to Scott Ransopher’s Poetry Podcast. Where I read and discuss my poems. I’m Scott Ransopher. Today, I’ll be talking about The Legend Of The Tin Cans. Let’s get started! In 2001, I wrote and typed The Legend Of The Tin Cans. You can read along with me in the description.

THE LEGEND OF THE TIN CANS

They stood weeping
The huge sentinels stripped of their souls.
The metals from their very core stolen away
For the use of the man.
The tin and iron that had taken so long to perfect
Now taken and melted and shaped into lifeless vessels
For which man holds no respect.
The very heart of the mountains has been siphoned out
And deemed worthless
By the very people who exploited it;
Only to be tossed away after the human needs were served.

"The Legend Of The Tin Cans". Now on Amazon: Collected Poems Volume One 1995-2001 Kindle, paperback and hardcover. That brings us to the end of this episode! I hope The Legend Of The Tin Cans was beneficial to you. As always, thanks for listening to Scott Ransopher’s Poetry Podcast.
