We had quite good days overall in Vang Vieng. The only thing I regret is not booking the hot hair air balloon tour earlier since it was fully booked the whole time we were there. However there are so many things to do near the town so we had many alternatives.

The day in the video started quite badly to be honest. We had planned on going on a tour with a local operator and doing ziplining, kayaking and a visit to a cave. However, the tour operator was very chaotic with their planning which you will see in the video.

After deciding to leave the tour and get a full refund we tried to make the best out of the day. We rented a scooter and went into the valley near Vang Vieng. This valley has incredible limestone mountains covered in forest. After driving around for a few hours we decided to enjoy the sunset from a very nice viewpoint. It took about 15 minutes to get up to the viewpoint and it was very steep, but so much worth it!
