One of the contributions to the effort to win WWII that has arguably been the most under appreciated is that of the submariners. In addition to their engagement with warships of the Axis powers, the work that they did to disrupt enemy shipping was one of the major contributors to the Allied victory. We're following up our visit to the USS Alabama with a tour of the USS Drum, a WWII submarine that has an amazing history.
