Motorola isn't tricking anyone with its permanent discounts.

They need to add OLED screens to their budget devices, add a couple years of OS updates, and price their phones at their "discount" prices and they would take the US market by storm.

The Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 is a decent phone, but in the current market at MSRP, it isn't a great deal. Motorola has a habit of releasing phones that are overpriced for what you get, then discounting them heavily. I think that if they were to offer OLED screens on their phones and provide 3+ major OS updates they could own the budget market in the US.

That being said, on a heavy discount this phone is still awesome and I think would be great for most people, provided they haven't been spoiled with flagship cameras, and they don't care about their screen being oled. The phone feels awesome in the hand, has great battery life, and runs very smoothly with its near-stock Android feel.

I would still recommend that you check out the deals for your local carriers though as you may be able to get this phone completely free.

If you are watching this video and it is only selling for MSRP, I would just get a different phone entirely, maybe the Pixel 6a, or the Galaxy A34? There are lots of options that are better than this phone when it is full price.
