We've gone over the various tiers of structure of a plant, from cells, to tissues, to organs and organ systems. Now it's time to better understand how plants grow. How to plants know when to grow? How do they know which direction to grow? All of this is regulated by plant hormones, which are signaling molecules, just like the ones that we have in our bodies, though they are totally different molecules than ours. Auxin, cytokinin, gibberellins, abscisic acid, and ethylene, what do these molecules do? What is gravitropism? What is phototropism? Let's learn all this and more!
