Wow! One of the earliest surviving and most significant 300SL Gullwing's in the World. The ‘1955 Mercedes 300 SL’, used as the practice car by Sir Stirling Moss for his famous record-breaking 1955 Mille Miglia run. Fully restored at JD Classics, back to it’s original 1954 factory specification.

Signed and authenticated by Sir Stirling Moss, during his visit to JD Classics Open Day in 2011. Featured in Sir Stirling’s Book and featured at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours. The Car has an incredible history and also featured as the Show Car in both the 1954 Paris Motor Show and the 1955 Olympia Motor Show. The Car also appeared at the 2012 Mille Miglia with JD Classics.

First owner was Mercedes Benz UK, then second owner was HWN Motors before being sold to Peter Woozley. Raced by Woozley in the UK during his ownership including the fastest lap/runner up in the 1959 Stanley Sears Trophy at Snetterton.

A true gem of a Car & one that still to this day fills us with great pride!
