In this video I take you along as I replace the PCV valve on my 2005 Scion TC. The engine that this Scion TC is equipped with is the Toyota 2AZ-FE engine and this engine has been used for many years in many of Toyota's products, not just the TC. So, this information with apply to a lot of vehicles out there. The process is simple. First ensure that the engine is not running and that the transmission is placed into part. Then removed the engine cover. Remove the vacuum hose from the PCV valve. Unscrew the PCV valve from the valve cover. Installation is reverse procedure. Note: I do not have the torque specification for the two 10mm fasteners that hold the engine cover on.

Note: It is also best to perform this repair after the engine has cooled for a good bit. Things do get rather hot in there and it would be more comfortable for you if the engine were cooled.

Warning!! Use care when working around the engine exhaust. The exhaust gets extremely hot and could burn you.
