Tskaltubo, Georgia. Tskaltubo is a semi-abandoned Soviet-era spa resort town 15 minutes outside of Kutaisi, Georgia. Tskaltubo is known for its "waters of immortality," which once attracted over 100k visitors per year from all over the Soviet Union. Stalin himself was a regular at Tskaltubo's many sanatoriums and bathhouses.

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, so did Tskaltubo’s spa industry. Most of the buildings were abandoned and scavenged for everything of value. In this video, we explore these magnificent urban ruins.

The sanatoriums we visited:
1. Shakhtiori
2. Iveria
3. Medea
