After two camping trips to Big Bend National Park in just the past couple of months, my wife and daughters are finally coming along for the adventure! With the uncertainty of backcountry campsite availability at Big Bend National Park, I decided this time to reserve a spot at an RV Park in the nearby town of Terlingua, Texas. Of course, this would require us to have an RV, so I found what I think is the perfect-sized travel trailer to meet our needs and tow behind the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xE. And that is the 2021 Braxton Creek Free Solo FAM, 18-foot travel trailer that can be rented off RV Share here:

The plug-in hybrid electric Wrangler 4xE has more power and torque than a standard V6 Wrangler, as well as added weight from the large 17kWh battery. This, along with the nimble size and weight of the Free Solo camper, should make for an excellent trailer and tow vehicle combination. Watch as we test out this theory in real time as we embark on a 1000-mile roundtrip journey deep in the heart of Texas!
