A video tutorial on how to start a 2014 - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a remote key fob that has a dead battery or is showing the error message Key Fob Not Detected.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Owner's manual has the following information what to do if your Grand Cherokee has a dead or broken remote key fob - showing the message Key Fob Not Detected :

In case the ignition switch does not change with the push of a button, the key fob may have a dead
or depleted battery. In this situation, a back up method can be used to operate the ignition switch. Put the nose side of the key fob against the Jeep Grand Cherokee START/STOP ignition button and push to operate the ignition switch. The key fob may not be able to be detected by the Jeep Grand Cherokee keyless-go system if it is located next to a mobile phone, laptop or other electronic device; these devices may prevent the key fob’s wireless signal from being detected and prevent the
keyless-go system from starting your Jeep Grand Cherokee.
