Today, we’ll be learning about homophones. What are homophones? Homophones are words that sound alike but are spelled differently. So words that have the same pronunciation but with different meanings or spelling, for example, EYE and I.

Here are some common examples of homophones:
deer → dear
see → sea
male → mail
write → right
pear → pair
ad → add
bawl → ball
blew → blue
cell → sell
carrot → carat
flu → flew
pain → pane
our → hour
plane → plain
real → reel
vein → vain → vane
tale → tail
bye → buy → by
steel → steal
