A friend had recently bought a new (second hand) leather sofa, which got a tear in the leather during delivery. In this video we'll repair the damage so the sofa can be used without risking the tear getting bigger, plus making it look visually better.

For this project I used a leather repair kit made by Coconix, consisting of coloured leather filler/glue which can be mixed to get the best colour match, some backing material to strengthen the joint, a spatula and so on.

The repair was quite large and needed to be tackled in small stages, so the process might look quite drawn out, but I've attempted to cut out most of the irrelevant bits, whilst still trying to give enough information to help anyone thinking of attempting a similar repair.

I know I promised links to some of the products I used for this repair, but I had so much trouble with Amazon affiliate links that I ended up removing them, but a simple search for "Coconix Leather Repair", either on Amazon or just a general search, should get you the same product.
