"Leadership for Society: Race and Power" is a timely discussion in webinar format offered by Professor Lowery at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. This 9-week program aims to deepen our collective awareness of profound racial disparities in the United States and around the world.

In this episode, Brian Lowery will speak with Dana Canedy, VP and Publisher at Simon & Schuster.

Who is this speaker series for?
- You care about racial equity but don’t have the foundational knowledge to feel confident in speaking up on the topic.
- You aspire to lead and empathize with a racially diverse workforce.
- You are knowledgeable about the complexities of race but want to learn from the insights of prominent leaders on this topic.

Through a series of conversations with a diverse array of prominent leaders, we will explore the role of race in society, how race interacts with structures of power, and how systemic racism manifests itself in institutions and our daily lives. Candid and honest conversations with guest speakers will expose participants to concrete examples of how their future decisions might lead to different outcomes for different people, based on race.
