I've been struggling with using goodnotes throughout second year at uchicago, and finally came to the conclusion that an ipad-only system was just not it for me. I take a lot of classes where being able to hand-write things are great (formulas for econ, highlighting certain areas in slides etc) — but all of my classes require some degree of large text (either from the textbook or online) or code. Since then, I've been searching for a better dual ipad-laptop system, and this is what I came up with!

I know there are a tremendous amount of aesthetic notetaking videos on youtube with goodnotes on ipad (truly beautiful), but for me practicality weighs more than pretty notes, so I'm going to retire goodnotes from my uchicago study routine, and make it more my go-to for teaching classes
