Eyewitness to history - a cameraman's unseen, uncut, raw footage from 1997 of Superman actor Christopher Reeve making an incredible, inspiring, funny and deeply touching speech as he was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony took place just two years after Reeve broke his neck in a horse riding accident and was paralysed from the shoulders down. Joining Reeve's wife Dana and young son Will for the occasion were co-stars and close friends Jane Seymour and Glenn Close. Reeve expresses his gratitude for being made a hero in his son's eyes - because his star is next to Sesame Street's Big Bird's. And he vows to one day stand upright next to his star on the Hollywood "WALK" of Fame, with the help of advances in medical science. Honorary Mayor of Hollywood Johnny Grant presented Reeve with the star.
