In this catfish fishing video I am fishing for catfish with a big piece of gizzard shad. Gizzard shad is a great catfish bait, and one of the best catfish baits for springtime catfishing. I like using cut bait for catfish in the spring since catfish are feeding on shad as they spawn. There are a lot of good spring catfishing tips in the video, so pay attention. Many people believe that big bait big fish, but this is not always the case. Sometime catfish want small catfish bait. There are times when big bait for catfish is what works, but the best approach is to vary the size of the baits.
